G Hotel Gurney has been named Best Business and Leisure Hotel at the Tourism Industry Awards 2026, held on 8 August at the Grand Lagoon Ballroom, Sunway Resort Hotel, Selangor. The consecutive win marks the second time the Penang property has taken the top honour in the same category.

The award, organised by the Malaysia Tourism Industry Development Association (MiTDA), recognises organisations that have demonstrated excellence in service and major contributions to Malaysia’s tourism industry. Recipients are also named Ambassadors of Malaysia Tourism, representing the nation’s commitment to hospitality excellence.

Michael Hanratty, General Manager of G Hotel, said the recognition reflects the team’s work across both corporate and leisure segments. “We are incredibly honoured to receive the Best Business & Leisure Hotel award once again, marking another proud milestone for G Hotel Gurney,” he said. “This recognition is a testament to the passion and dedication of our team, as well as the continued trust of our guests, corporate clients and partners.”
