Malaysia’s most beloved comfort food is stepping into the global spotlight this Labour Day. Homegrown favourite Oriental Kopi is set to attempt a Guinness World Records title for the “Most Servings of Nasi Lemak Sold in 8 Hours”, and the public is invited to be part of this historic moment.

The record attempt will take place exclusively at IOI City Mall (West Court), where the team is targeting an ambitious 10,000 servings within just eight hours. To achieve this, the operation will need to maintain an intense pace of roughly one pack every two seconds — a feat that requires precise coordination, speed, and consistency throughout the day.

To encourage Malaysians to join in, each nasi lemak set will be offered at a special price of RM9.90, making it easy for everyone to take part in the record-setting attempt. Beyond just enjoying a good meal, visitors will also receive a limited-edition commemorative gold coin (while stocks last), created specially for the occasion.

As a token of appreciation, every purchase also comes with a RM2 Oriental Kopi voucher, while those who buy five servings in a single transaction will receive an exclusive glass cup designed to mark the milestone. Adding to the excitement, participants will also stand a chance to win a grand prize – the latest iPhone 17 Pro, through a lucky draw held during the event.
